First year with the Reds Howard signed a first round pick, Left-Handed Pitcher Ty Howington for a million plus. Howard scouted a year with the Cleveland Indians before working with the Major League Scouting Bureau as a Scouting Supervisor. Howard also worked as a Major League Baseball Scout School Instructor. In addition, Howard has trained and advised numerous baseball players and most have been drafted, earned scholarships or have extended their careers. Howard knows what scouts are looking for, what professional baseball teams look for, what requirements colleges need to offer scholarships.
